New Russian crossover Tenet T4L will be launched in Kaluga

In Russia, production of a new full-cycle crossover of the Russian brand Tenet will be launched on the assembly line of the AGR holding plant in Kaluga. This was announced on April 28 by the company's press service, which shared details about the equipment of the new product, called T4L.

Compared to the already well—known Tenet T4 model, the length of the T4L has increased by 186 mm, the height by almost 50 mm, and the wheelbase has added 40 mm. The overall dimensions of the model are 4506×1828× 1701 mm, the distance between the axes is 2650 mm. The trunk volume of the novelty is 135 liters more (up to 475 liters with the second row seats raised and up to 1,500 liters when folded).

The Tenet T4L is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 147 hp (210 Nm). It is paired with a six-speed preselective robotic gearbox with two "wet" clutches. The minimum fuel consumption on the highway is 6.5 liters per 100 km.

In addition to the increased dimensions, the crossover features an exterior design and a set of equipment. The equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a rain sensor, a six-speaker audio system, telematics, and the ability to adjust head restraints in height. The use of a traction coupling device with a maximum towed trailer weight of up to 750 kg has been certified. The crossover received an independent suspension of the front and rear wheels.

The salon is designed for five people. The driver's seat is equipped with electric adjustments in six directions, and the front passenger seat is equipped with mechanical adjustments in four directions.

The cabin has a panel with two 10.25-inch dual displays and a separate eight-inch touchscreen for dual-zone climate control. Wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a winter package (including heated seats and windshield), front and front side airbags, an all-round viewing system, a rain sensor and a light sensor are provided.

Earlier, on April 23, the Russian brand Jeland announced the launch of pre-orders for the J6 crossover, the production of which is organized at the plant in St. Petersburg Shushary. Jeland is the second project of AGR and Defetoo after the Tenet brand, whose cars are produced in Kaluga. The third brand will be Tenet Plus.
