At the Irokinda mine in Buryatia, an avalanche descended, six people were trapped under the rubble. This was announced on April 28 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"A snowfall occurred at the Irokinda mine in the Muisky district of the Republic of Buryatia, where 9 people were clearing a technological road. According to preliminary information, 3 people got out on their own, 6 people are trapped under a snow mass <...> The Mi-8 aircraft of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations flew to the scene," the ministry said in a statement.
