Radjab Ismonov, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War (WWII), died on April 27 at the age of 100 in Tajikistan. This was announced on April 28 by the authorities of the city of Hissar on the social network Facebook (banned in Russia, owned by the Meta corporation, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

Ismonov was born on October 5, 1926. In 1944, at the age of 18, he was drafted into the army, participated in the liberation of Ukraine and Poland, and celebrated Victory Day in Berlin. After the end of the war, he returned to Gissar, where for 25 years he worked as a foreman in one of the farms.

In addition, Ismonov was awarded various awards, orders and medals for military and labor services, as well as honorary state certificates.
