About 62% of Russians over the age of 65 consume five or more medications daily. This was confirmed on April 28 by a study conducted by the Russian Gerontological Research and Clinical Center (RGNCC).

According to Vedomosti, 96% of the elderly study participants take medications on an ongoing basis, while every fourth patient does this without a doctor's appointment.
