Rosobrnadzor denied allegations about the abolition of homework in schools
Rosobrnadzor has not proposed the abolition of homework in schools, but considers it necessary to update them taking into account modern technologies, including the development of artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported on April 27 in the press service of the department.
"It's about the need to transform them (homework. — Ed.) taking into account modern technological achievements. Doing homework using artificial intelligence is becoming a common practice at school. This state of affairs does not bring the necessary educational effect for the student himself, and the teacher does not allow him to assess the level of mastering the educational material," Anzor Muzaev, head of Rosobrnadzor, told TASS.
The press service also noted that the Russian Ministry of Education is consistently working to improve the education system. Uniform standards for homework have been introduced, the number of control papers is limited, and unified scheduling has been introduced.
Muzaev said on April 26 that using AI to do homework deprives exercises of educational value. According to the head of the department, the only significant moment for the teacher now remains an attempt to find out whether the student worked independently or used technological tips.
