The case was opened on the fact of a fatal accident with a horse in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

A criminal case has been opened in the Krasnoyarsk Territory over the deaths of three teenagers in an accident involving a horse. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The accident occurred on the evening of April 26 on the 17th km of the Sharypovo– Uzhur–Balakhta highway. A VAZ-21124 car crashed into a horse standing in the right lane, after which it flew off the road into a ditch and overturned.

As a result of the accident, the 19-year-old driver and his two minor passengers were injured, from which they died on the spot before the ambulance arrived, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of three persons." Also, in relation to the owner of the horse, investigators isolated administrative material from the criminal case under Article 8.26 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of grazing an agricultural animal in places where it is prohibited, without a shepherd and without a leash.
