The therapist explained the reasons for the weather dependence
Changes in well-being with a change in the weather are more often associated with chronic diseases and body characteristics. Daniil Trints, a general practitioner at the Sberbank Health medical company, told Izvestia about this on April 27.
The specialist explained that weather dependence is manifested in people with various diseases. In particular, patients with chronic joint and musculoskeletal pain may experience increased pain when weather conditions change. People with cardiovascular diseases, such as hypertension, may have increased blood pressure, and bronchopulmonary diseases, including asthma, may increase shortness of breath.
"Patients with chronic joint pain and musculoskeletal pain report increased or increased pain when weather conditions change," said Trinz.
According to him, some people also experience sleep disorders, including insomnia. Even healthy people may experience irritability, anxiety, apathy, and decreased performance.
The doctor stressed that in order to alleviate the condition, it is important to discuss individual recommendations with the attending specialist in advance. Among the general measures, he singled out regular physical activity, a balanced diet and the rejection of bad habits.
"For the prevention of weather dependence, including a good night's rest is important. On average, 7-8 hours of sleep is enough for an adult. It is also important to minimize stress and treat anxiety or depressive disorders in a timely manner, as they affect sleep quality and can cause insomnia," the expert added.
Earlier that day, the Hydrometeorological Center reported that an orange weather hazard level had been declared in Moscow and the Moscow Region due to heavy snow. It was noted that due to the snowfall, wet snow may stick to wires and trees, ice is expected in some places, as well as heavy wind gusts of 18-23 meters per second.
