The court fined a resident of Yakutia for a photo with extremist tattoos
The Bulunsky District Court of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) found a 34-year-old resident of the village of Zhigansk guilty of publicly displaying symbols of an extremist organization in the form of tattoos. The press service of the court informed Izvestia about this on April 27.
The court found that in 2021, a man posted on the social network Instagram (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) a photo showing tattoos in the form of two eight-pointed stars. A sociological examination confirmed that they are symbols of the movement "Convict criminal Unity" (AYE, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
As explained in the instance, the man admitted his guilt and repented. The sanction of Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, according to which a resident of Yakutia was tried, provides for a fine from 1 thousand to 2 thousand rubles.
On April 14, a court in Moscow arrested a girl for 13 days for a photo in a Nazi cap that was posted in her profile on a sex services website. The protocol was drawn up in accordance with Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia").
