On Monday, April 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a funeral wreath to the farewell ceremony for Russian journalist and TV presenter Alexei Pimanov at the Troekurovsky Cemetery in Moscow.

The composition in question consists of red roses. It is decorated in a restrained and simple style with wide ribbons in the colors of the Russian tricolor, on which the inscription "From the President of the Russian Federation" is visible.

In addition, the hall is decorated with floral arrangements from the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov, the teams of the Izvestia News Center, Zvezda TV channels, REN TV, RT, as well as other media and authorities.

The farewell ceremony for Pimanov began in Moscow on the same day. He died on April 23 at the age of 65 due to a heart attack, according to information received from his wife, actress Olga Pogodina. Pimanov's colleague, director of photography Sergey Komarov, in turn, said that the journalist had never complained about his health and was actively involved in sports.

Putin, expressing his condolences to the journalist's family and friends, called his passing a loss for Russian journalism. The head of the Russian Defense Ministry described the deceased as a true patriot who made a contribution to his profession, and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov added that he was a man of high responsibility who devoted his life to serving his cause.
