Rostec has developed a Vika drone suppression system with a pinpoint effect capable of neutralizing the threat without interfering with the surrounding infrastructure. This was announced on April 27 by the press service of the state corporation.

"When a target is detected, the system analyzes the signal strength from different directions, determines the location of the drone and applies a pinpoint electronic impact. This allows UAV navigation to be limited without adversely affecting the surrounding infrastructure," Rostec wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that the protection system consists of complexes grouped into a cluster of six to eight units, where each of them covers its own sector. So, the system can independently accurately determine the location of an enemy drone and apply a pinpoint effect.

According to the report, the Vika complexes can operate both in automatic and manual mode. They will be used to protect industrial plants and military installations.

Dmitry Dorofeev, CEO of Mechanical Protection Systems, announced on April 18 that Russia has developed a Darwin-Z anti-drone network capable of independently tightening holes after explosions. According to him, the grid cell has the shape of the Latin letter Z. When the drone is blown up on the canvas, the structure does not break, but "slides" — neighboring cells shift and partially tighten the hole, Dorofeev explained.
