- Analysts spoke about changes in the demand of Russians for an all-inclusive vacation
In Russia, tourists in the spring of 2026 began to choose foreign all-inclusive hotels with a lower average check than a year earlier. This is stated in a study of the OneTwoTrip travel planning service, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 28.
Analysts of the service studied the reservations of foreign hotels with all-inclusive meals for the period from March 1 to May 31, 2026 and compared these data with the same period in 2025. The study took into account changes in the average check, the duration of trips, the distribution of demand by country, as well as the emergence of new destinations where such bookings were not recorded a year earlier in the spring.
According to OneTwoTrip, the average cost of daily accommodation in foreign all-inclusive hotels in the spring of 2026 was 19 thousand rubles against 21.3 thousand rubles a year earlier. The average booking time has also decreased: in the current season it is five days, whereas in the spring of 2025 the figure reached 5.4 days.
Turkey remained the leader among foreign destinations, accounting for 53.8% of all hotel bookings with this type of food. Egypt took the second place with a share of 28.2%, and the Maldives took the third place with 2.7%. In the spring of 2025, the top three looked different: Turkey occupied 39.7%, Egypt — 38.4%, the UAE — 9.2%.
"Thus, the share of Turkish bookings in the total volume of foreign trips increased by 35.5%, while Egypt's share decreased by 26.6%. The UAE lost its position to the Maldives, whose share in the total volume soared more than five times," the company noted.
Analysts recorded the most noticeable increase in interest in the Maldives, whose share increased 5.5 times. Vietnam showed almost the same growth, where the share of bookings increased 5.4 times and reached 2.6%. Demand also increased in Sri Lanka by 66.7%, Cyprus by 40%, and Turkey by 35.5%. At the same time, some destinations lost ground: Cuba's share decreased by 86%, the Dominican Republic — by 80%, the United Arab Emirates — by 72.8%, Tunisia — by 66.7%, Mexico — by 64.3%.
In addition, in the spring of 2026, countries appeared in all-inclusive hotel bookings where there were no such orders a year earlier during this period. Mauritius, Cape Verde, Spain, Indonesia, Greece, Abkhazia, Armenia, Montenegro, Portugal and Bangladesh were among the new destinations. The research data shows that Russians have become more likely to consider not only traditional mass resorts, but also more exotic destinations for holidays abroad.
Lyubov Voronina, Managing Director of the Let's Fly tour operator, said on April 21 that Russians can have inexpensive vacations in Vietnam, China and Georgia if they choose the right tickets and hotel. She noted that when booking only accommodation in Vietnam, there are hotels with a price of about $200 for two people for 10 nights, while meals and restaurant visits are also cheap.
