Passenger car sales in Russia increased in a week
Last week, the passenger car market in Russia showed an increase of almost 16% compared to the previous one. 26.7 thousand new cars were registered. Compared to the same period last year, the dynamics also turned out to be positive (+13%). Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on April 27.
At the same time, the commercial vehicle market (LCVs up to 3.5 tons) decreased by 4% and amounted to 1.3 thousand units. Compared to the same week last year, the decrease was 29%.
Truck registrations have once again gone below the 1,000 mark, the analyst noted. A total of 959 trucks (over 3.5 tons) were registered, which is 7% less than a week ago and 12% less than last year's result.
Earlier, on April 23, it was reported that the average price of a new Chinese car in Russia has increased by 30% in four years. So, in January – April of this year, the average price of a new Chinese passenger car in the Russian Federation was 3.5 million rubles. In 2022, the same figure was 2.7 million rubles.
