The number of commuter trains will be increased in Moscow for the May holidays
The Central Suburban Passenger Company (CPPK), together with the Moscow Railway, will add flights for the May holidays. This was reported on April 27 on the portal mos.ru .
"During the May holidays <...>, the CPPC, together with the Moscow Railway, will appoint additional trains, as well as make a number of changes to the timetable. Passengers will be able to choose convenient routes for trips on holidays and weekends," the message says.
It is noted that from April 30 to May 8, suburban trains of the Moscow transport hub will run on Friday, May 1, 2, 9 and 10 on Saturday, May 3 and 11 on Sunday, and May 4 and 12 on Monday.
The publication indicates that during the holidays, additional trains have been scheduled for different dates from Moscow to Muravyovo, Tula-1, Ryazan-1, Vladimir, Kaluga, as well as to Moscow from Muravyovo, Tula-1, Ryazan-1, Zheleznodorozhnaya, Vladimir, Kaluga-1 and Nara.
It is specified that on April 30 and May 8, instead of the express train without seats No. 7191 Moscow — Maloyaroslavets, the branded express No. 7093 Moscow — Kaluga-1 will be assigned, which will start at 20:35, and tickets for it will be sold with seats indicated.
In addition, from April 30, the number of trains between Russia and Belarus will increase, starting from May 1, additional flights Smolensk – Vitebsk – Smolensk will be operated on a permanent basis, as well as on April 30 – Smolensk – Orsha – Smolensk from April 30. It is added that flights will be added between Smolensk and Vitebsk.
During the holiday period, on certain days, the movement of eight summer trains will also be restored, which follow the routes from Moscow to Maloyaroslavets, from Kaluga-1 to Ferzikova, Moscow to Vladimir, Zheleznodorozhnaya to Moscow and from Ryazan-2 to Moscow.
Lawyer Oleg Zernov announced on April 27 that employees who will work during the May holidays will receive increased pay, according to Article 153 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation. He explained that in 2026, the Russian government has set days off from 1 to 3 May, as well as from 9 to 11 May. If an employee goes to work on these dates, the employer must pay for such work at a double rate.
