- Departure of a number of flights from Vnukovo has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions
The departure of some flights from Vnukovo Airport has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions - heavy snow and poor visibility. This was announced on Monday morning, April 27, by the press service of the airline.
"Due to adverse weather conditions (heavy heavy snow, visibility less than 1 m), for flight safety reasons, by the decision of the commanders of a number of aircraft based on the internal rules of the airlines, the departure of some flights was temporarily postponed due to the expectation of improved weather conditions," the Telegram channel said.
It is emphasized that those passengers who had already managed to board and stayed in the cabins of the aircraft were returned to the terminals, where the weather is now expected to improve. The service of such persons, as specified in Vnukovo, is carried out in accordance with federal aviation regulations.
The press service called for monitoring the status updates of specific flights on the online scoreboard or contacting the help desk number indicated in their statement.
Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, warned that Moscow would be covered with snow on April 27 the day before. According to him, a blizzard and gusts of squally wind will be recorded in the capital and its region. The expert announced that a monthly precipitation rate could fall in the region within three days.
