Pushilin reported on the deployment of AFU forces for counterattacks at the junction of the DPR

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are deploying significant forces for counterattacks in certain areas at the junction of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions. This was announced on April 27 by the head of the region Denis Pushilin.

"In certain areas where the enemy regularly tries to counterattack, for example, at the junction of the DPR and the Zaporizhia region, in the Dnipropetrovsk region. There, the enemy, seeing the subsequent threats, throws quite serious forces," he told TASS.

Pushilin noted that the Ukrainian side is trying to strengthen areas where, in its assessment, further threats may arise. According to the head of the DPR, fighters of the Vostok group of forces are fighting in this sector of the front.

The head of the region also stated that the expansion of the buffer zone in the Dnipropetrovsk region is necessary to ensure the security of the Velikonovoselkovsky district of the DPR. In addition, he linked this task with the liberation of the Zaporizhia region.
