In order to start triathloning, you don't have to buy expensive equipment. This was announced on April 26 by Vladimir Sheikin, CEO of IRONSTAR, Master of Sports in triathlon.

"At first glance, triathlon may seem like a very expensive sport because of the equipment, and it is indeed a frequent barrier for beginners," he shared in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

He noted that a bicycle, the most expensive part of the cost, can be bought cheaper on the secondary market or rented on various services. Sheikin added that triathletes often begin to gradually update their equipment as they become interested in the sport and gain experience, so participants do not have to buy a carbon bike for their first start.

The expert also stressed that triathlon has recently become a more widespread sport, which is largely facilitated by the abandonment of ultra-expensive equipment at the initial stages.

Olga Ulankina, a doctor and expert at the Hemotest laboratory, said on April 22 that "dopamine jumps" popular on social networks can not only fail to have the claimed effect, but also lead to joint injuries if performed incorrectly. According to her, these jumps are ordinary repetitive bounces that create a significant impact load on the musculoskeletal system. She added that during intense training without preparation, microtrauma is possible, which accumulates over time and can lead to inflammation.
