An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 occurred on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. This was announced on April 26 at the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The seismic event occurred on April 27 at 05:23 local time (April 26, 23:23 Moscow time). The epicenter was located at a depth of about 79 km.

The tremors were reported about 30 km south-southwest of the city of Obihiro.
