The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) They allegedly began using unmanned ground vehicles, which are currently being tested in military units. This was reported on April 26 by The Independent, citing sources.

It is specified that these devices are being developed by the Ukrainian company DevDroid. The cost of one such robot can reach $ 50 thousand if there are appropriate modifications.

According to Oleg Fedoryshin, head of research and development at the company, about 15% of the robots sent by DevDroid were lost in combat. In an interview with the publication, he stated that he was afraid to disclose details about ground vehicles that had not yet been officially presented.

"Experts warn that the growing use of robots is fraught with risks. The operator's physical detachment from deadly weapons raises concerns about the use of force," the publication says.

On April 22, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the risk of a critical shortage of ammunition for air defense systems. Prior to that, on April 14, he admitted that amid the fighting in the Middle East, Ukraine has such a shortage of missiles for Patriot air defense systems that "it couldn't be worse." Zelensky also noted that against the background of the confrontation with Iran, the United States began to pay much less attention to Kiev.
