The Estonian Foreign Minister demanded that Russia return control of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant to Ukraine

On April 26, on the anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsakhna called on Russia to return control of the Zaporizhia NPP and other energy facilities to Ukraine.

"Russia must immediately withdraw its troops from all Ukrainian energy facilities and return full control to Ukraine. We need tougher sanctions against Russia's energy sector, as well as continued efforts to isolate it at international energy forums," the Estonian Foreign Minister wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
