The head of Rosobrnadzor criticized the use of AI when doing homework
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) when doing homework deprives exercises of educational value. This was announced on April 26 by the head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev.
"With the advent of artificial intelligence in our lives, I was surprised to see completed homework. Everything has already been solved, you can just write it off, and that's it," he said in an interview with TASS.
According to the head of the department, due to the use of AI by schoolchildren, part of the homework becomes meaningless. The only significant point for the teacher remains the attempt to find out whether the student worked independently or used technological tips.
At the same time, modern technologies cannot yet replace a student in humanitarian tasks that require personal fulfillment: memorizing poetry or verbally retelling texts. However, the ability of algorithms to cope with standard tasks for a child is becoming a serious challenge for the entire education system, the agency's interlocutor concluded.
Yuri Obolonsky, co-chairman of the National Parent Committee and director of the Institute of Health of the Autonomous Academy of Sciences, noted on April 23 that modern tests, despite evolution, form clip-based thinking and give children a minimum of creative potential. He added that while upcoming technologies (AI) require a change in the entire teaching methodology.
