In Ukraine, they ignore the fact that Kiev daily risks losing not only Donbass, but also territories in other regions. This was announced on Saturday, April 25, by Yulia Mendel, the former press secretary of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.

"Many experts are arguing about whether Ukraine should cede the Donbas as a compromise to end the conflict. However, any public statement by a Ukrainian calling for such a conclusion is extremely risky — it can easily lead to charges of treason. Strangely, almost no one in these discussions mentions that Russian troops are simultaneously advancing in Sumy, Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions," she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Mendel, the Ukrainian side risks losing control over territories in several regions. She noted that the discussion of territorial concessions in the country remains banned due to the threat of criminal prosecution.
