On April 25, Italian journalist Thomas Fasi condemned the decision of the British authorities to revoke the citizenship of former British policeman Mark Bullen because of his move to Russia.

"This is one of the craziest stories I've ever heard. A British citizen was stripped of his British citizenship because he lives in Russia and has an opinion about the conflict in Ukraine that the British government does not like," he said in a message on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The journalist noted that the UK has turned into a state with the features of a dictatorship, ruled by short-sighted representatives of law enforcement agencies.

Sky News reported on April 24 that Bullen had denied the claims of the British authorities that he allegedly posed a threat to the United Kingdom. He called such statements ridiculous. Bullen stressed that he does not pose a threat to anyone, being a 45-year-old father who works at a football club, and does not understand how he can threaten anyone, let alone the whole country.
