An interregional forum on basic military training was held in the Moscow region
On April 25, the first inter-regional forum on primary military training was held in Patriot Park near Moscow. The participants discussed the role of discipline in the education system and strengthening statehood, as well as the training of specialized mentors. The footage of the event is published by Izvestia.
One of the central topics of the meeting was the pilot implementation of a new NVP textbook in schools and colleges in Russian regions, announced for 2026. The experts reviewed the best public and private educational practices and presented a roadmap for further development of this area.
Larisa Sulima, First Deputy Minister of Education of the Moscow Region, Daria Borisova, Director of the Avangard Military-Patriotic Youth Education Center, Vadim Lobov, President of the Synergy Corporation, veterans of the special services and representatives of the legislative branch took part in the discussion.
"Today, patriotic education is the highest priority in the work of the education system," Sulima stressed.
According to her, the site of the Avangard center has become a gathering place not only for high school students, but also for elementary school students, members of the Eaglets of Russia movement and representatives of military-patriotic clubs. In turn, Borisova said that as part of the current five-day training camps, tenth-graders and college students are learning the basic course of the NVP.
"The young man on the way out after these five days knows how to provide first aid to himself and to those who are nearby, knows how to use a compass, knows what a gas mask is for, and has certain basic drill skills," she explained.
The training program also includes terrain orientation skills, rules for staying in the wild, methods of fire extraction and water filtration.
Borisova reported on February 4 that military-patriotic education programs provide teenagers with practical skills that can save lives in an emergency situation. According to the expert, many children today do not have basic survival skills. She also believes that such skills are critically important in civilian life, especially when a child finds himself in a dangerous situation without parents.
