On April 25, a robot cleaning took place in Moscow's 50th Anniversary of October Park. Citizens were shown modern cleaning robots and other "smart" inventions designed to make the work of public utilities easier.

"Last year, a large—scale experiment was conducted to introduce Pixel robots, which are communal autonomous robots in Moscow parks. Now we have decided to try using other robots as well. For example, autonomous trolleys that allow cargo delivery, robotic arms, as well as smart trash cans for waste distribution," said Alexander Ulanov, Deputy General Director of the Moscow Innovation Cluster Foundation.

According to him, the robots are equipped with emergency stop systems in case of unforeseen circumstances. In addition, the robots are always monitored by the dispatcher, who can switch the smart but stalled assistant to manual mode at the right moment.

As part of the cleaning robots show, for example, the Suspension mobile robotics complex was demonstrated, designed to monitor the environment and check hard-to-reach locations. The already mentioned Pixel robots are able to adapt to different utility scenarios — to clean snow, water the road, sweep the territory.

In Beijing, on April 19, the Chinese robot "Lightning" won the humanoid robot half marathon with a clean time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds. The android of the Qi Tian Dasheng team surpassed the world record of 57 minutes and 20 seconds, which was set by Ugandan athlete, middle— and long-distance runner Jacob Kiplimo in March this year.
