- The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to limit the online sale of injectable beauty products
LDPR deputies want to limit the remote sale of injectable drugs for cosmetology. On April 25, the party's leader Leonid Slutsky addressed the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov with such a proposal.
"Products that are freely available must be safe for the consumer. LDPR believes that the remote sale of injectable drugs should be limited by law. Their distribution should be strictly under medical supervision," Maria Voropayeva, head of the LDPR permanent parliamentary association in the Moscow City Duma, told Izvestia.
According to her, the share of unregistered products for the beauty industry reaches 40% of the market, about 100 billion rubles. The consequences of the introduction of such substances can be catastrophic: severe allergies, damage to the nervous system, and other complications, including disability.
"It is advisable to include botulinum toxins, fillers, biorevitalizants, lipolytics and other parenteral drugs used in cosmetology, as well as relevant medical products, among the goods subject to restrictions," the letter clarifies.
On March 16, plastic surgeon, Professor Tigran Aleksanyan spoke about the serious consequences of cosmetologists' mistakes. According to him, problems also arise with the introduction of fillers for facial correction: sometimes this leads to the appearance of lumps under the skin and asymmetry. Such complications are often associated with the fact that procedures are performed by cosmetologists without sufficient training.
