Zhoga called the UAV attack on Yekaterinburg and the Chelyabinsk region a war crime
On April 25, the Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District, Artyom Zhoga, called the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) using drones on the Chelyabinsk region and Yekaterinburg a war crime.
"This war crime shows once again that the enemy is unable to achieve success on the battlefield, so it can only basely strike civilian targets," Zhoga wrote on the MAX messenger.
In addition, he urged residents of the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions to remain calm and assured that the situation was under control.
On the same day, the governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Denis Pasler, announced the attack of a Ukrainian drone on a multi-storey building in Yekaterinburg. According to him, 50 people were evacuated. He specified that six people had applied for medical help. One woman is in the hospital, five refused to be hospitalized.
Later, an operation center was deployed near a house damaged by a drone in Yekaterinburg. It was noted that all evacuated residents of the house receive the necessary assistance.
Later, the governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Alexei Texler, announced that air defense systems in the region had stopped an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch an unmanned attack on an infrastructure facility. He added that there are no consequences as a result of the actions of the Ukrainian militants.
