Lavrov pointed to the long-term consequences of the war between the United States and Israel in Iran.

The consequences of the actions of the United States and Israel in the Middle East are severe, and they will be felt for a long time. This was stated on April 24 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an interview for the Public Television of Russia.

"With all the external manifestations of the farce (and they are present, I think many people understand this), the consequences of what our American colleagues are doing, in this case together with the Israelis, are grave. They will be "sold out" for a very long time," Lavrov is quoted as saying on the ministry's website.

He noted that the United States cares only about its own well-being, and for this they are ready to use any means, including coups, kidnappings and assassinations of leaders of other countries.

Tehran considered the extension of the ceasefire regime to be another ploy by the United States to prepare for a strike.

On the eve of the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, said that Tehran does not see the seriousness in the US approach to negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East. Jalali added that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to a diplomatic solution to the conflict, but does not see the same attitude from Washington.
