The exhibition "Geography Lessons" has opened in the National Center (NC) "Russia". The solemn ceremony on April 24 took place after the first in-person meeting of the Organizing Committee of the center, which summed up the work for 2025 and defined the tasks for 2026.

"Everything will be really interesting at this exhibition, because the number of geography hours studied at school is reduced annually mainly due to geological information. <...> Therefore, those people who visit the exhibition, I think they will replenish their knowledge about the bowels of the Russian Federation, and they will surely see that-that's new," said Timur Tatianchenko, member of the Presidium of the Russian Geological Society, member of the Expert Council of the Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation.

Sergey Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister, and Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Research Center Rossiya, took part in the opening of the exhibition. The tour for the guests was conducted by participants of the School of the Young Russian guide, as well as geography teachers.

"In principle, this hall is the most interesting, every exhibit there is extremely historically saturated. The second big hall is probably the climatic zones, and the hall that is interesting to me. Not many people know, but almost all climatic zones are represented in our country, with the exception of the savannah. And the third, probably, esconate room is a room where minerals are presented," said Denis Zabelin, a professional traveler.

The family educational project demonstrates the influence of geography on Russian history and culture, as well as the role of this science in uniting peoples. The exhibition includes a unique collection of maps and exhibits linking the era of the first expeditions with modern space exploration. The exhibition presents both ancient atlases and images of the Earth from orbit. The authors of the project paid special attention to the role of travelers and researchers, whose efforts allowed them to explore vast territories.

"I liked all the halls, but first of all I liked the hall with maps, which shows how Russia grew and developed from the 18th century to the recent past. This is a great country, and if one day I have to or want to write music, then most likely it will be about our relations with Russia," said Saif Alali, an Emirati singer, UAE representative at Intervision 2025.

The Geography Lessons exhibition at the Rossiya National Center will run until July 9th.

An exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of LDPR founder Vladimir Zhirinovsky was held in Moscow from April 11 to 23. The visitors were presented with more than 20 art installations and over 3 thousand archival materials - documents, photographs, personal belongings of the politician.

On April 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Zhirinovsky's birth. He was accompanied by State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and current LDPR chairman Leonid Slutsky.
