More than 100 cases of tick bites were registered in Transbaikalia

In the Trans-Baikal Territory, 117 cases of tick sucking have been registered since the beginning of the season. There are 24 children among the injured.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency, bites are most often recorded in Chita and the Chita region. Bite cases have also been reported in Shilkinsky, Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky, Akshinsky, Khiloksky, Baleysky, Ononsky, Kyrinsky, Alexandrovo-Zavodsky, Karymsky and other districts.

In the same period of 2025, almost twice as many tick bites were recorded. Experts remind us that vaccination remains the most effective way to protect against encephalitis.

To protect against pests, it is recommended to choose closed clothing. After a walk, shoes, clothes, and a baby carriage should be examined. On the skin, it is primarily necessary to look for pests behind the ears, in the neck, armpits, groin and on the scalp.
