A knife attack on a doctor in a hospital in Makhachkala defies any explanation. This was announced on April 24 by the head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov.

"Attacking doctors with a knife is an action that defies any explanation. These doctors have repeatedly participated in the rescue of our fellow citizens in various situations, including in their field. Now colleagues continue to fight for the life of one of them," Melikhov's press service quoted him as saying.
