More than 500 emergency trees were cut down in Pskov

More than 500 emergency trees were cut down in Pskov. Work is underway in different parts of the city in order to prevent harm to people's lives and health, the Pskov city administration explained to the news feed.

"The demolition of green spaces is carried out in order to prevent harm to human life or health, property of individuals and legal entities, state or municipal property, as well as to reduce the risk of infection of other trees," the authorities commented.

Compensatory planting of green spaces is also provided. So, in 2026, about 5 million rubles will be allocated to replace the felled trees. Work is planned on the streets of Vokzalnaya, Sovetskaya, Leon Pozemsky and others.

In addition, Pskov has already planted various flowers in 35 territories. 12.6 million rubles were spent for these purposes.

Earlier it was reported that in Pskov, by the end of May 2026, they plan to complete the landscaping of the park near the Rizhskaya Hotel.
