The new GAC T7 SUV is equipped with a "digital chassis"
GAC showed a new SUV with the T7 index at the Beijing International Motor Show. The model debuted as a concept, but its serial production is expected in the near future, according to a correspondent of Izvestia from China on April 24.
One of the features of the GAC T7 is the "digital chassis" — the steering and braking systems of the car have no mechanical connection with the controls. Commands to turn the wheels or slow down are given literally "by wire."
The GAC T7 is equipped with a hybrid powerplant. According to preliminary data, it is based on a two-liter gasoline turbocharger, which is connected to electric motors. The total power of the system exceeds 700 horsepower.
The design of the SUV is made in the popular "square" style. The model shown at the exhibition has pixel diode optics and an expedition roof rack with a ladder, as well as a spare tire on the fifth door.
Earlier that day, it was reported that at the auto show in China, Li Auto showed a new modification of the L9 crossover, which is popular in the Russian market. The flagship version of the model is called Livis. In addition, Hongqi has introduced its first SUV, which may appear in Russia in the future, and the Voyah brand has released the Taishan X8 crossover with a berth.
