Pskov Region is included in the Great Russian Northern Way project

The Pskov Region and 11 other regions of the Northwestern and Central Federal Districts signed an agreement on the implementation of the historical, cultural and tourist project "The Great Russian Northern Way".

All participants of the program prepare documents for obtaining the status of a "national tourist route". This is necessary to get attention from travelers and investors. The total length of the routes will be more than 3 thousand km.

The signing took place at an international conference on the involvement of cultural and natural heritage sites, recreation and entertainment entities, and culture in regional and global spiritual and educational routes.

According to the Pskov news feed, in addition to the main tourist sites in the region, the route included visits to the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Videlebye, the Seto People's Estate Museum, the Church of Elijah the Prophet in the village of Vybuty and the Malsky Savior-Rozhdestvensky Monastery.
