The PSB stated the need to support the companies' IPO for the development of the stock market

The Russian stock market has significant growth potential: 1.6 trillion rubles were invested in fund products in 2025. In these circumstances, it is important to support the IPO of companies from various segments of the economy. This was announced by Alexey Zhogolev, Senior Vice President and Director of the Wealth Management Department of the PSB, speaking at the business breakfast "From Savings to Investment: current strategies and tools" within the framework of the VIII financial forum of the PSB "Just Capital".

According to him, today there are a sufficient number of financial instruments for investing at any stage of the market, but private investors need to develop a financial culture and form long-term portfolios. Zhogolev noted that there is a "food hunger" in the market, so it is important for investors to have access to securities of companies of various sizes, including medium-sized businesses, whose instruments may be of particular interest.

"We support the active entry of companies into IPOs and the development of the stock market in various directions, since the scarcity of securities limits us as professional participants in the range that we can use when forming a multiplication strategy. However, focusing on non—conservative securities is more likely a brokerage decision, because it will be difficult for management companies to create products with an understandable level of risk. These will be either strategies for investing in high—yield bonds, or strategies that will be suitable for more aggressive investors over the long term," said Alexey Zhogolev.

He also stressed that the easing of monetary policy does not have a significant impact on the flow of funds from savings to investments. Thus, in 2023, deposit growth continued even at the key interest rate of 7.5%. In this regard, according to the expert, it is necessary to form the habit of investing in various instruments among the population.
