Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recovered from a tumor in his prostate gland at an early stage. On April 24, he announced this on his page on the social network X (ex.Twitter).

He explained that a year and a half ago he underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor, after which he was regularly monitored by doctors.

"At the last examination, a tiny area of less than a centimeter was found in the prostate gland. Upon examination, it turned out that this is a very early stage of a malignant tumor, without any spread or metastasis," Netanyahu wrote.

According to him, after the recent discovery of cancer, he was faced with a choice to monitor the development of the tumor or to undergo radiation therapy.

Netanyahu wrote that when he is given advance information about a possible threat, he wants to "deal with it immediately." He added that this thesis concerns both his personal level of decision-making and the national one.
