The number of families living in communal apartments was named in St. Petersburg

190 thousand families live in communal apartments in St. Petersburg, while only 27 thousand of them need better housing conditions. These figures were announced by the head of the city housing committee Denis Udod on the air of the "Big Interview" on the 78th TV channel.

According to him, there are 55 thousand communal apartments in the Northern capital. However, not all residents of communal apartments need to be relocated, the official added.

Earlier in April, it was reported that three historical buildings would be overhauled in St. Petersburg. After its completion, 227 families will move into these buildings.
