Operstab has prepared a plan for the reconstruction of the affected areas of Chechnya and Dagestan

The Interdepartmental Operational Headquarters for Flood Relief in Chechnya and Dagestan has prepared a draft plan for the restoration of the affected areas. This was announced on April 24 at a meeting of the government commission by the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kurenkov.

"The interdepartmental operational headquarters has prepared and sent out for approval a draft comprehensive action plan to eliminate the consequences of an emergency and restore damaged facilities," TASS quoted Kurenkov as saying.

Each agency involved in emergency response will review the document and send information on approval to the Ministry of Emergency Situations no later than April 28. The plan will be approved at the next meeting of the management Board.

According to Kurenkov, the objects of transport, social and communal infrastructure that need to be restored first of all have already been identified.

On April 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions to eliminate the consequences of floods in Dagestan. On April 15, a helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations delivered about 500 kg of humanitarian aid to the mountainous regions of Dagestan, cut off due to bad weather.

On April 7, the head of the Republic of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, announced that an emergency regime had been introduced in 11 municipalities that were most affected by the floods in Dagestan. According to him, 842 significant social facilities were affected by the weather.

As a result of heavy rainfall on April 5, the Gedzhukhsky reservoir overflowed in Dagestan, which caused an earthen rampart to be breached. It was noted that a pregnant woman and a child died after they were swept away by the current. In addition, an apartment building in Makhachkala collapsed.
