A woman died when an APU drone hit a car in the Belgorod region.

When attacking unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) killed a woman and injured a man in a car that was traveling in the village of Gora-Podol in the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region. This was announced on Friday afternoon, April 24, by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"The drone struck a passenger car, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Unfortunately, the woman died on the spot from her injuries. <...> The driver of the car was seriously injured," he said in a message on the MAX messenger.

The head of the region expressed his deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, and also clarified the condition of the victim. So, the hospitalized person in the district central regional hospital was diagnosed with multiple shrapnel wounds to the chest, shoulder and forearm. He also suffered mine-explosive and barotrauma.

Now the man has been placed in the intensive care unit, where he is receiving all the necessary help. The vehicle he was driving was completely destroyed by the flames.

On the same day, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region reported the death of an employee of their department, Ivan Buzin, and his wife during an attack by a Ukrainian UAV on the territory of the region. The exact circumstances of the tragedy were not specified. The text noted that the deceased had served in the Ministry of Emergency Situations for many years and was a respected, responsible, competent and responsive specialist.
