A new house has been commissioned in Moscow under the renovation program
Another residential complex built under the housing renovation program has been commissioned in Moscow, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
A new residential complex has been built in the Alekseevsky district of the capital. "Residents of the six resettled houses will not have to move far — to the new comfortable apartments on Yaroslavskaya Street, 2 is only 8-10 minutes on foot," the mayor wrote in his channel in the MAX.
Sobyanin called its location one of the advantages of the new building: the residential complex is located between two of the largest recreational areas in Moscow — VDNKh and Sokolniki Park. Within walking distance are the VDNKh and Alekseevskaya metro stations, the park on Zvezdny Boulevard, schools, kindergartens, medical institutions, shops and sports clubs.
According to the mayor, 17 houses in the Alekseevsky district are included in the Renovation Program. About 2.8 thousand people will be able to move into new apartments.
In general, in recent years, many events have been held in the north-east of the capital to develop the district. The Staly sports complex, a pedestrian bridge over the Yauza River, the Moscow Longevity Center were built, polyclinics, libraries and a children's art school were renovated. "73 courtyards, a square in Rizhsky Passage and several streets have been put in order. Raised boarding platforms have been installed along the tram line on Boris Galushkin Street and in Rostokinsky Passage," Sobyanin said.
Earlier in April, the mayor of Moscow said that since the beginning of the renovation program in Moscow, more than 1,8 thousand non-residential premises had been equipped. Thanks to this, more than 15 thousand jobs were organized. "The renovation program is not only comfortable apartments for a million Muscovites. This is the creation of a full—fledged living environment within walking distance," Sobyanin stressed.
He recalled that in the new residential complexes, the first floors are allocated for social and commercial infrastructure: cafes, shops, pharmacies, gyms, dry cleaners, and more. And if earlier such decisions concerned only the central streets, now it becomes a uniform city standard, the mayor added.
