A native of the Sumy region of Ukraine, who lives in Magadan, was stripped of Russian citizenship for anti-Russian statements. This was reported by RIA Novosti on April 24, citing a law enforcement source.
According to the agency's interlocutor, the woman is 44 years old. She received Russian citizenship back in 2019 under a simplified procedure. She has been living in Magadan for more than five years. However, the woman was accused of creating a threat to national security.
"The woman was stripped of her citizenship for actions that pose a threat to Russia's national security, as well as repeated anti—Russian statements," the agency's source explained.
It is specified that now the woman will have to return to Ukraine.
The press service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for the Kurgan region reported on March 12 that a native of Ukraine, who worked at an enterprise of the military-industrial complex of the region, was stripped of Russian citizenship due to a threat to national security. According to the agency, in personal correspondence with Ukrainian nationalists, the woman spoke negatively about the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, as well as about Russian citizens. In addition, a picture of a document marked "for official use" was found in her phone.
