The first hypermarket under the Family brand was opened in Saratov, the company told Izvestia on April 24.

Previously, the company opened hypermarkets of this concept under the signs "Economy". The new brand is closer to the core of the target audience of stores, which seeks to cover a wide range of needs, saving the family budget.

The brand's idea is "A simple and intuitive hypermarket with consistently favorable prices." When choosing an assortment, customer preferences for each city are taken into account, both favorite well-known brands and local manufacturers are represented. The logo and the color scheme of the stores are made in red and yellow colors.

The total area of the hypermarket is 3,419 square meters, the sales area is 2,612 square meters, and it operates in a rented space. The range includes about 10 thousand of the most in—demand products, almost a third of their own brands. The main focus is on consumer goods, gastronomy, groceries, and beverages. In addition, the share of meat products and frozen food has been increased.

Lenta Group has added products from local manufacturers to the range, accounting for about 500 products. The positions of all price segments are presented in the Family store. In addition, it has its own production and bakery.

"Thanks to the opening of the Family store, residents of Saratov can find favorable prices in one store. At the same time, we offer a wide range of products that can be purchased, significantly saving the family budget. It is important for us that customers do not depend on promotions and sales, but can make profitable purchases any day," said Anastasia Bulakh, Director of the Economy business unit.

The Family store became the first hypermarket that Lenta Group has opened since the beginning of the year.

On April 3, representatives of the French Auchan store chain and the German Globus told Izvestia about their plans to expand their business in Russia. Auchan intends to invest in opening new stores of its own supermarket chain, the company said. It was clarified that the network plans to raise funds without the participation of the French office: the business in Russia operates independently and does not receive investments from the parent organization.
