A press conference is being held at the Izvestia press center: "Fraud in the real estate market: how to protect the rights of bona fide buyers?".

What are the risks associated with buying real estate in the absence of effective mechanisms to protect citizens? What changes in legislation are needed and how much can they affect the situation? What are the main problems that arise when bringing fraudsters to criminal responsibility and what legal gaps hinder an effective fight?

— Igor Baranov — lawyer, public figure, Vice-President of the National Fund for Legal Support of Organizations and Citizens, expert on the protection of citizens' rights, co-author of the draft law on the protection of the rights of bona fide purchasers of real estate;

— Sergey Sayapin, Vice President of the Guild of Realtors of Moscow, an expert in the field of real estate;

— Matvey Goncharov, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Support of Victims of Crime;

— Alexander Alexandrovich Sagin, Member of the Commission of the Federal Notary Chamber for Methodological Work, notary of Moscow;

— Maxim Peshkov — lawyer, expert of the Foundation for the Support of Citizens Affected by Crimes;

— Ekaterina Krasnova — lawyer, public figure;

— Nino Tsitlidze is a representative of the initiative group of affected citizens.
