A fine of 2 to 7 thousand rubles can be issued to Russians for hiring illegal migrants to perform work in suburban areas. Lawyer Igor Baranov told about this on April 24.

"In accordance with Article 18.15 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, if it turns out that an employee does not have the right to work in Russia, for example, there is no patent or permit, the fine for citizens can range from 2 to 5 thousand rubles, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - from 5 to 7 thousand rubles," he said. Baranov in an interview with TASS.

He noted that, from the point of view of the law, even a private individual who attracts a person to work is regarded as an employer. The main risk is bringing to justice a citizen of another country for the illegal use of labor. The lawyer noted that a foreigner can be expelled from the country, and if there are signs of systematic activity or profit-making, the responsibility may be higher.

Baranov reminded that ignorance does not absolve from responsibility, therefore, before hiring, you should check the documents: passport of a foreign citizen, migration card, where the purpose of entry should be indicated by work. Citizens with a visa-free regime also need to request a work patent and a receipt for its payment.

The lawyer noted: the patent is valid only in the issuing region, therefore, it is impossible to work in Moscow under the patent of the Moscow region. Baranov recalled the need to notify the Interior Ministry of the conclusion or termination of the contract, ignoring it may also result in a fine.

"If there are doubts about the documents, it is better to refuse to hire, as fines and possible inspections can be much more expensive than the services of a legal employee," the lawyer concluded.

Lawyer Evgenia Baldina reported on April 23 that Russians could face a fine of up to 20,000 rubles for improper pest control of their cottages or garden plots. She clarified that violation of sanitary requirements, which include dosage and processing time, can also be regarded as damage to the land, which can result in a fine of 3 to 5 thousand rubles in accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 8.6 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
