Europe has sent a strong signal to Russia by approving a €90 billion loan to Kiev, as well as introducing a new package of anti-Russian sanctions. This was announced on April 23 by French leader Emmanuel Macron.

"I welcome the allocation of the EU loan to Ukraine, which is a very strong signal of our determination to continue supporting Ukraine. The agreement reached on the 20th package of sanctions is also a clear signal for Russia," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
