Pashinyan condemns burning of Turkish flag at torchlight procession in Armenia
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan believes that burning the Turkish flag during a torchlight procession dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide at the beginning of the 20th century is an irresponsible and unacceptable practice. This was announced on April 23 by the press secretary of the Prime Minister Nazeli Baghdasaryan.
"Prime Minister Pashinyan condemns such practices, assessing them as irresponsible and unacceptable," she said in an interview with the "Armenpress" agency.
In addition, Baghdasaryan called the burning of the flag a behavior provoking tension.
On April 23, Sputnik Armenia reported that a torchlight procession dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian genocide in the early 20th century was held in the center of the Armenian capital. During the event, the demonstrators burned the Turkish flag.
