TV presenter Alexey Pimanov approached any job he undertook with professionalism, and all his actions were filled with great love for Russia. This was stated to Izvestia by the general director of the Bolshoi Moscow Circus, People's Artist of Russia Edgard Zapashny.
"Pimanov is one of the greatest patriots of our time. You just had to know him to understand how much he was in love with our country, with the Russian people, and how much time he devoted to making the country a better place," he stressed.
On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolences to Pimanov's family in connection with his death. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the news of the TV presenter's death sudden and shocking.
Pimanov died earlier that day due to heart problems. He was 64 years old. The staff of Channel One called his death an irreparable loss, and also expressed deep condolences to the family and friends of the TV presenter.
For more than a quarter of a century, Pimanov led the program "Man and the Law" and led the Krasnaya Zvezda media holding. He also wrote scripts for films and was a director.
