On Monday, April 27, 2026, another lesson from the series "Conversations about important things" will be held in Russian schools and colleges. It will discuss the importance of teamwork, the distribution of roles and responsibilities in the team. Izvestia tells us how the lesson will go in different classes.

"Talking about important things" on April 27 — the topic of the lesson

The topic of the upcoming lesson is "What does it mean to work in a team? The strength of the team." It is dedicated to one of the basic skills of the modern world — the ability to work in a team. The discussion will focus on the concept of collective outcome, mutual assistance and trust between participants in a common cause.

Teachers will invite students to consider why even the strongest individual abilities do not always lead to success without well-coordinated interaction with other people. Special attention will be paid to how the roles in the group are distributed, why leaders are needed and why the responsibility of each participant is important.

As part of the lesson, it is planned to form students' understanding of teamwork as an important social skill that is used not only in studies, but also in sports, creativity, and future professional activities. Students will be taught that an effective team is built on respect, listening skills, and willingness to help each other.

The video interview lesson will be attended by members of the ambulance and emergency medical care team at the 17th substation of the A.S. Puchkov SSiNMP in Moscow - Sergey Solomenny, Tatiana Bogdanova and Dmitry Tarasov. The doctors will tell the children about how a team of doctors and paramedics works in real conditions, where the life and health of patients depend on coordinated actions.

In all classes, the lesson will be structured according to the age characteristics of the students. The recommended duration of the lesson is 30 minutes. Methodological materials and recommendations can be found on the project's website.

"Conversations about important things" April 27 — lesson program

For students in grades 1-4, the lesson will be held in a playful way. Children will be offered to watch a short animated video about the team's work, after which they will discuss how the characters in the story achieved results only through joint efforts. Teachers will conduct simple interactive tasks, such as team games on role-sharing and joint problem solving. In conclusion, the younger students will try to understand in practice how important it is to help each other in the classroom and at home.

Students in grades 5-7 will discuss more complex life situations related to teamwork in school and outside of school. They will be shown a video about how sports teams and creative teams work. After watching, students will complete a task where they need to determine which qualities help the group achieve results and which ones hinder it. They will also be invited to discuss real-life examples from school life where interaction is important.

For grades 8-9, the lesson will be more practice-oriented. Students will be offered an interactive case study: the distribution of roles in a conditional project, where it is important to achieve a common result in a limited time. The discussion will focus on developing communication, planning, and decision-making skills in the group. Additionally, a video clip with examples of teamwork in science, business, and volunteer projects can be used.

Students in grades 10-11 and college students will discuss teamwork in the context of their future profession. They will be asked to consider how teams are built in modern companies, why soft skills are important, and how functions are distributed in a professional environment. During the lesson, they will also watch fragments of interviews with representatives of different professions and discuss typical situations in the work team.

As a result of the lesson, students will come to the conclusion that the success of a team depends not only on individual abilities, but also on the ability to negotiate, listen to each other and take responsibility for the overall result. In this way, they will learn that the ability to work together is an essential skill for achieving any goals.

"Conversations about important things" April 27 — about the project

"Conversations about important things" is a cycle of extracurricular activities launched by the Ministry of Education in 2022. Classes are held every Monday in all schools and institutions of secondary vocational education. Their main task is to form a civic position among students, develop critical thinking and communication skills, as well as get acquainted with the history and culture of their native land and the whole country.

The previous lesson of the cycle took place on April 20 and was dedicated to the theme "Earth Day — every day". Within its framework, students discussed issues of ecology, respect for nature and the personal contribution of each person to the preservation of the environment.
