The European Union, as part of the 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions, imposed restrictions on the Russian performer Timati (Timur Yunusov). This was announced on April 23 in a statement by the EU Council, published on the website of the official journal of the EU.

"Timur Ildarovich Yunusov, known as Timati <... The Russian performer and entrepreneur supports actions or policies that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine," the document says.

The European Commission has ruled that Timati's actions allegedly threaten stability and security in Ukraine. His performances at the concert "For a World without Nazism!" at the Luzhniki Stadium in 2022 and a concert in honor of the fifth anniversary of the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation in Simferopol are also noted.

On the same day, the EU finally approved the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. As part of it, the Council of the European Union (EU) was given the opportunity to impose a complete ban on the maritime transportation of Russian oil and petroleum products. Transactions with 20 Russian banks were also banned.
