The European Union has imposed sanctions against MIPT
The European Union (EU) has imposed restrictions against the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) as part of the 20-package of anti-Russian sanctions. The relevant information was published on the official website of the EU magazine on April 23.
"The Institute has launched specialized programs in the field of unmanned technologies and conducts government—funded research in the field of drones," the document says.
In addition, the university allegedly provides financial support to the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC) and "supports and benefits" from the actions of the Russian government.
On the same day, the EU finally approved the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. As part of it, the Council of the European Union (EU) was given the opportunity to impose a complete ban on the maritime transportation of Russian oil and petroleum products. Transactions with 20 Russian banks were also banned.
