The deputy announced a change in the schedule of pension payments due to the May holidays.

Due to the May holidays in 2026, the pension payment schedule will be adjusted, and some pensioners will be able to receive funds ahead of schedule at the end of April. This was announced in an interview with Izvestia by State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party, Deputy Chairman of the Budget and Taxes Committee Kaplan Panes.

"Pensioners who receive payments through a bank to a Mir card or bank account, whose usual transfer date is from May 1 to May 4, will receive a pension for May ahead of schedule — up to and including April 30. This applies to all types of pensions.: insurance, social, funded, old—age and disability benefits," he said.

For recipients who use the services of the Russian Post, the delivery of pensions will begin on May 3. In cases where the usual date of receipt coincides with holidays or weekends on May 8, 9 or 10, delivery will be made in advance, before the start of the non-working period.

At the same time, it is emphasized that this is solely a matter of a technical postponement of payments, and not an additional accrual of funds: if the pension was paid in April for May, it will not be received again in May, and citizens are advised to take this into account when planning their personal budget.
